Fitness For All: Revamp Your Gym!

With “Beach Body” season now upon us, people all across the country are going to the gym more often to sculpt that perfect swimsuit body that they can show off during the hot summer months.

Whether in the comfort of home or at the gym, having multiple locations to work on fitness is important. Why not add your hotel to a guest’s list of places to meet their various fitness needs? Below are a few ways to revamp your hotel gym to ensure that guests enjoy their fitness experience to the fullest.

1. Who Says You Can’t Be Social While Working Out?
Hotels are a great location for guests to connect with each other, whether it be on a business or personal level. The gym should reflect social qualities as well. A juice bar and an area for guests to lounge in-between or after a workout routine are vital to push the encouragement of interaction within the gym.

2.  Keeping Up With Equipment Trends
Just as your hotel keeps up with the latest style trends within your lobby, pool area, banquet halls and guest rooms, the gym shouldn’t be any different. Guests will be more inclined to use your facility to work out if your gym equipment is eye-catching and highly functional. Make your gym their “home away from home,” when they can’t work out at their own!

3. Positivity = Motivation
Within your gym, displaying positive tips and quotes about staying healthy is a wonderful way to entice and motivate your guests to use the facility.

4. Cleanliness
This one is definitely a no-brainer and should be something you incorporate into every area of your hotel! A gym that is clean and well kept is one of the biggest reasons why people continue to go back to it to further their fitness routine. Inspiration and motivation stem from a clean environment.

5. The Early Bird and The Night Owl
Some people enjoy blowing off steam at the end of their day and working out in the evening or late at night. Others, however, thrive on waking up at the crack of dawn and starting their day off with a great workout. Be sure your gym hours accommodate both of these types of people and is open early in the morning, as well as late at night.
